The Planetarium and the Void Locus
Requires the Survivors of the Void expansion.

With Survivors of the Void there is a third ending: The Planetarium, where the Voidling waits. You get there through the Void Locus, a void stage full of purple items, or by a shortcut from the moon. 22.4% of Steam players have done it.

A Void Portal: it appears after the 9 cells of the Void Fields, 10% of the time after the teleporter from stage 7, or by choosing it at a Lunar Seer in the Bazaar (3 Lunar Coins).
Or the shortcut: 10 Lunar Coins for the frog in Commencement.

Step by step.

Get a Void Portal: the sure way is charging the 9 cells of the Void Fields (its own route); from stage 7 it can also appear on its own after the teleporter (10%), and the Bazaar's Lunar Seer may offer it.

Enter the Void Locus: there are 4 Deep Void Signals. Each one charges while you stay inside its bubble as void enemies spawn.

Use the map: it is full of Void Cradle (a void item for half your health) and void potentials. It is where you get the most purple items.

Charge the 4 signals: the portal to The Planetarium opens.

Beat the Voidling: three phases. How, on its boss page.

Escape: winning ends the run with the void ending. Shortcut: in Commencement, the glass frog opens the Planetarium portal directly if you pet it 10 times (1 Lunar Coin each).

The Void Fiend, the first time («Dragged Below» challenge; the other way is surviving 50 waves in the Simulacrum).
Plenty of void items on the way, in the Void Locus.

Watch out.

A void item converts all your copies of the normal item it corrupts: check which one before taking a cradle's.
Time does not stop in the Void Locus: every minute raises the difficulty.
The Voidling cannot be damaged during part of the fight: read its page before going in.
