The three usual difficulties are Drizzle, Rainstorm and Monsoon. Above them is Eclipse: a mode with 8 levels unlocked by winning with each survivor, and each level adds one more penalty to the previous ones. This page is under construction: what follows is the little we have with a source; the list of penalties per level is marked as pending a check.

Winning runs: each Eclipse level is unlocked by winning the previous one with that survivor. Progress is per survivor, not global.
What it takes to open Eclipse mode itself the first time is not in our data: pending a check.

Pick Eclipse in the difficulty menu, next to Drizzle, Rainstorm and Monsoon, and the survivor you want to climb with.

Win the run: reach an ending (the moon, the Obelisk or the Planetarium). That survivor moves up to the next level.

Repeat up to level 8: each level keeps the previous penalties and adds one. With another survivor you start again from level 1.

What each level gives (skins, achievements) is not in our data: pending a check.

The 8 levels' penalties that circulate (less starting health, slower teleporter, faster enemies, permanent damage...) could not be checked against the wiki from where this was written: that is why they are not listed here yet.
Eclipse plays like Monsoon but worse: difficulty rises just as fast and each level adds a penalty.
