What it is.

The Bazaar Between Time is a shop outside of time: while you are inside the clock stops and difficulty does not rise. You pay with Lunar Coins, and it is the door to the Void Fields, where Acrid is unlocked.

1 Lunar Coin for the Newt Altar (and more if you want to buy: 2 per bud, 3 for the Seer).
Finding the altar before the teleporter is done.

Step by step.

Find the Newt Altar: a small statue hidden on every normal stage, in one of 3 to 5 possible spots. Some maps have none. A Cleansing Pool is something else.

Pay it before the teleporter is done: 1 Lunar Coin. A blue orb appears above the teleporter. If you pay after the event is over, nothing appears.

Charge the teleporter and kill the boss. When it is done the Blue Portal appears next to it. Sometimes the portal appears on its own, without paying.

Go in and shop: 5 Lunar Bud (2 coins each, you see the item first), Lunar Seer (3 coins: pick the next stage among the ones shown) and two Cauldron: 3 whites for 1 green, 5 greens for 1 red or 1 red for 3 whites.

Walk down the path under the arrival portal if you want the Void Fields: the Void Portal is there, once per run.

Leave through the portal at the back to the next stage. On stage 5, leaving the Bazaar sends you back to stage 1 (the loop).

Choosing the next stage, for example to chase a challenge that needs a specific map.
The entrance to the Void Fields and, through them, Acrid.
A breather: the clock does not run inside.

Do not hit the shopkeeper: hurt him enough and he kicks everyone out.
The Radio Scanner (150 gold) shows where the altar of the stage is, if you cannot find it.
The Void Portal in the cave only works once per run.

FAQ.

Where is the Newt Altar?

Every normal stage has 3 to 5 possible spots and it appears in one of them (or none, on some maps). It is a small statue, often on an edge or behind something. The Radio Scanner marks it.

What if I pay the altar after the teleporter?

Nothing: the blue portal only appears if the altar was paid before the teleporter finished. The coin is lost.

Can you reach the Bazaar without Lunar Coins?

Sometimes the blue portal appears on its own when the teleporter is done, but you cannot force it. Inside, without coins, you can only use the cauldrons and go down to the Void Fields.
