Fall damage is doubled and can kill you (without it, a fall never takes you below 1 health).

Careful with high jumps: on Sky Meadow and the moon it kills. Loader, Engineer with Hopoo Feather and anyone with Wax Quail suffer more.

How to unlock it.

  1. Reach stage 5: Sky Meadow or Helminth Hatchery.
  2. Find the Compound Generator: on Sky Meadow it is under the map, in a room you drop into through a hole; on Helminth Hatchery, at the very top.
  3. Enter the code in the nine slots and use the laptop next to them. A purple portal opens.
  4. Enter the portal: it leads to Bulwark's Ambry, with the artifact already active for the trial.
  5. Take the Artifact Key in front of the Artifact Reliquary and use it on it. Monsters start spawning and drop more keys; each key takes a chunk off the reliquary's health.
  6. Break it: the artifact is yours for good and a portal to a first stage opens so you can keep going.

In co-op, the group can enable any artifact that any player has unlocked. Artifacts are chosen in the menu before the run starts.
