Silver to buy, quests to open and challenges to earn. And the 29 weapons, with their requirement.
The currency that carries over between runs. Earned mostly at the end of a run (more on higher Tiers), from quests, the Silver tome and silver pots. It buys characters, weapons, tomes and items in the Unlocks tab.
Over 200 small tasks (kill so many, use such a shrine, reach such a level). Each gives silver once and, together, they open the shop (1 quest), the extra slots and Dicehead (100).
Bigger challenges (win without power-ups, survive without taking damage...). Several characters and weapons ask for a number of completed challenges.
Almost everything takes two steps: meet the requirement, then buy it with silver. Until you buy it, it does not show up in runs.
Extra weapon slots at 25 and 45 quests; tome slots at 35 and 55. The milestone opens the upgrade in the shop and then you buy it with silver.

Each with its requirement, in its own guide: Characters · Items and tomes.
Almost all silver comes at the end of a run, and Tier 3 pays more (guides mention 50 or more per run versus 5-15 on Tier 1). Also: quests (one-time silver), the Silver tome, silver pots and Greed Shrines (which raise difficulty 5% per use).
With quests: at 25 the third weapon slot opens and at 45 the fourth; the third tome slot at 35 and the fourth at 55. The milestone does not add the slot itself: it unlocks a permanent upgrade you then buy in the shop with silver.
A shop item that lets you remove items you do not want from the pool. It asks for 40 purchased unlocks (of any kind) and 50 silver.
